Description
19" (48 cm.) All cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted complexion and facial features, two chin seams, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig, firmly-stuffed muslin body with stitch-jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Louis Kampes, who presented dolls from his studio in Atlantic City, marketed as "Kamkins", circa 1930. Value Points: fine original finish, wearing original costume comprising white cotton two-piece shirt and trousers with button waist, brown checkered flannel shirt with pockets, sandals.
