Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, pale blue painted eyes in deeply-defined sockets, black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with smiling expression, row of painted teeth between the outlined lips, deeply-impressed cheek dimples, laughter lines at lip corners, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique dress and pinafore, undergarments, socks and shoes. Condition: generally excellent, body is appropriate but not original. Marks: 151 S&H 7 1/2 (head) Excelsior (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from their rare art character series of only three models (150, 151, and 152) which were each created in very limited numbers. Value Points: especially fine sculpting with defined laughter crinkles around the eyes and mouth, fabulous cheek dimples enhanced by fine gleaming complexion.
