Description
19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading and darker iris rims, dark eyeliner encircles the eye cut, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, row of painted teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, early Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body, straight wrists, antique dress, undergarments, leather shoes, silk bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S.H.5 905 (head) Comments: Simon & Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: rare early model with well detailed characterization, very beautiful eyes and painting.
