22" (56 cm.) All black sateen cloth doll with flat-dimensional ball-shaped head, black yarn hair, painted brows and lips, stitched-on hand-painted eyes, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: good, wear tears on costume and body, eyes loose. Comments: American, circa 1885. Value Points: imaginative folk creativity of a most appealing figure, the man is wearing original handmade gentleman's suit with vest, shirt and tie.
