Description
21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head with pink-tinted bisque, brown glass sleep eyes, dark painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with wide beaming smile, shaded lips, two beaded lower teeth, impressed dimples and laughter lines, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique dress and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5636 Heubach (sunburst) 9 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: superb sculpting of character features on the wide-eyed laughing child, very fine bisque and painting, original body finish, wonderful size.
