Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks, small brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, rounded nose tip, open mouth, two porcelain upper teeth, outlined lips, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: made in Germany 14 JDK 237 ges gesch N. 1070. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912, early period of the character model later also marked "Hilda". Value Points: especially fine quality of sculpting, complexion and painted features, original body.
