Solid domed bisque socket head, large pale blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading and darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent details, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 117. Comments: Sonneberg, mystery maker, the doll closely resembles the early portrait bebes by Jumeau whose market it sought to capture, circa 1880. Value Points: beautiful face enhanced by splendid eyes. original body and body finish.
