Polychromed terra cotta head posed as though looking upward sideways, brown sculpted windblown hair, darkened ruddy complexion, enamel eyes, modeled closed mouth with defined tongue tip and teeth, tow-wrapped body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, bare feet, well-defined toes and fingers, wearing original silk costume comprising belted tunic, red vest, shirt with full sleeves, short trousers. Condition: figure is excellent, costume worn. Comments: Neapolitan, mid-1700s. Value Points: most expressive features enhanced by fine original painted finish.
