Description
25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Q made in Germany 20 237 JDK Jr. Ges Gesch N 1070. Comments: Kestner, circa 1914, earliest variation of the Hilda model. Value Points: very rare largest size made, finest bisque and complexion, original body and body finish, superb antique multi-layered costume.
