Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead tilted to the side in a beseeching manner, sculpted black hair in casual brushed curls, enamel eyes, impressed facial wrinkles, strong nose, smiling expression with row of painted teeth, sculpted bushy moustache, painted sideburns, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted wrinkled aqua leggings, brown shoes with black bows, fingers posed as though presenting a treasure, wearing original red silk costume with gilt trim, and carrying carved wooden treasure chest with painted gilt trim. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Neapolitan, mid-1700s. Value Points: rare model with very demonstrative expression enhanced by artistic painting.
