Description
18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted complexion and facial features, two chin seams, one back of head seam, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig, firmly-stuffed muslin body with stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kamkins a Dolly Made to Love Patented (stamp at back of head). Comments: Louise Kampes, her "Kamkins" doll offered from her studio in Atlantic City, circa 1930. Value Points: fine original painting and original wig, wearing cotton dress, undies, linen coat and hat, socks, shoes, and presented in her likely-original trunk with wonderful internal designs, and containing a large assortment of various costumes, some original.
