Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead with modeled bosom, elongated face with very full chin and throat, sculpted dark brown hair waved in front of her modeled ears and pulled into a light brunette-shaded coiled chignon at the back of head, red sculpted head band, deeply-set large eye socket, enamel eyes, strong nose, mouth modeled closed with two painted teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted brown stockings and black clogs, costume includes silver beaded necklace with coral bead. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Neapolitan, mid-1700s. Value Points: rarity factors include unusual hair design and dramatic large eyes.
