Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted facial features, shaded blue eyes with glazed highlights, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though lips are slightly parted, two painted upper teeth, double chin, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 112 46. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, from their art character reform series, circa 1910; other examples of the 112 model in original Scottish costume suggest its presentation for a specific commission. Value Points: one of the rarer models from the art character series, choice bisque and painting, rare painted teeth, original body and body finish and wearing factory-original Scottish costume with distinctive silver belt buckle.
