17" (43 cm.) Paper mache head with heart-shaped face, painted black hair with feathering around the forehead, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, attached to wooden interior post with extensive padding and swaddling wrap in early transfer print fabric. Condition: repair to shoulderhead, original finish with some darkening, original fabric in need of cleaning. Comments: Germany, early 1800s. Value Points: very rare to find all-original poupard presentation.
