Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, dark blue glass sleep and side-glancing eyes, painted lashes, single stroke brows, rounded nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with extended center line forming into a shy smile, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig Germany 131-21. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1920, the beloved model was more commonly presented as a googly with toddler body, yet this example appears to be completely original and rare variation created for the American market.
