13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very plump cheeks and chin, blue glass inset eyes with spiral-threading and darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, blushed cheeks and chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid plump bebe body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, bisque forearms, rose silk costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2/0. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his first bebe model, known as Brevete, circa 1877. Value Points: very beautiful example of the rare early bebe, original body, perfect bisque hands, leather shoes signed "B" in oval "00".
