18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted complexion and facial features, two chin seams, one back of head seam, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig, firmly-stuffed muslin body with stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Kamkins ink script at back of head under original wig). Comments: Louise Kampes, her "Kamkins" doll offered from her studio in Atlantic City, circa 1930. Value Points: fine original painting and original wig, wearing cotton dress, undies, socks, shoes, and red felt flannel jacket and tam with lambswool trim which appear original.
