Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head with heart-shaped face, small blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2033 BSW (in heart) 537. Comments: Bahr and Proschild for Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912. Value Points: the sought-after model has fine gleaming patina of complexion, beautifully-painted lips, dimpled chin and philtrum.
