30" (76 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with beautifully shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed poupee body with shapely torso. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 11. Comments: Francois Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: the grand exhibition size poupee has exemplary bisque and painting, very sturdy original body, antique costume.
