Description
20" (50 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and pouting solemn expression, painted facial features, deeply defined eyelids, painted upper-glancing blue eyes, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with full lips, brunette mohair wig in side-coiled braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, typical wig pulls at back of head under wig. Marks: K*R 101 50. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, "Marie" from their art character reform series. Value Points: fine quality of modeling with well-defined features enhanced by excellent bisque and painting, original body finish, antique costume includes twill apron with playful printed scene.
