Description
11" (28 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, large blue glass inset eyes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the pale shaded lips, pierced ears, Sonneberg composition and wooden body with jointing at shoulders, hips and knees, unjointed wrists, lovely silk costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1882, the doll was designed to capture the French market which it closely resembles. Value Points: wonderful petite doll with wide-eyed gentle expression, excellent bisque, original body and body finish.
