Description
6" (15 cm.) doll. 8" x 5" box. Bisque shoulderhead, painted facial features. blue eyes, tiny closed mouth. muslin body, bisque lower arms and legs, painted black boots, lovely blue silk costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany doll for the French market; presentation boxes were created in the workshops of Parisian toy stores such as Au Nain Bleu, circa 1885. Value Points: lovely antique box with decoupage decorations and compartment with accessories.
