Description
29" (74 cm.) Bisque socket head with light-amber-tinted complexion, slender face and throat, side-angled narrow eye cuts with brown glass sleep eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, black brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, amber-tinted composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 1129-13 Dep Germany (head). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895, from their Asian series of portrait models, the model was deposed in 1893. Value Points: extremely rare-to-find in this large size 13, highly-defined features, dimpled chin and mouth, fine lustrous patina on the flawless complexion, wonderful antique Asian costume and hair ornaments.
