Polychromed terra cotta head depicting a weary man with sculpted brown windblown hair and beard, sculpted ears, darkened complexion, carved age and worry wrinkles, enamel eyes, closed mouth, tinted beard stubble, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, bare feet, wearing frayed and worn village costume and vest. Condition: very good, finish worn on hands and feet. Comments: Neapolitan, mid-1700s. Value Points: very fine sculpting of features, fine original finish of head, original costume.
