Description
13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with darker iris rims, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig with dainty tendril curls at forehead, kid poupee body with slender torso, gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2. Comments: French, attributed to Jumeau, circa 1875. Value Points: especially beautiful painting around the eyes, sturdy original body, lovely bisque, and wearing fine antique linen two-piece gown with embroidered dots and braid trim, undergarments, high-lace kidskin shoes.
