Description
8" (20 cm.) Each is all-cloth doll with swivel head, hand-pressed and painted complexion, facial features, short brown painted curly hair, pale blue eyes, painted red upper lashes, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin body with disc-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent (one wooden shoe missing). Comments: attributed to Bing, who in 1921 created his Kruse-like dolls in an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the Kruse dolls; a 1925 lawsuit precluded any further production making the dolls quite rare. Value Points: well-preserved little dolls in fine unplayed with condition, wearing original costumes in fresh bright colors.
