Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape and plump cheeks, dark blue glass sleep eyes that operate from a lever at the back her head, dark eyeliner, painted lashes with "dot" highlights, brushstroked and feathered brows, rose blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, closed mouth with richly-shaped lips, upturned lip corners, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, French composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists, cupped hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Figure C No. 8 J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris (head) J. Steiner (eyes). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1884, his rare figure C model. Value Points: splendid grand size, the bebe has wonderfully-modeled features that are superbly painted, original signed and working eyes, brunette mohair wig with soft curls, original Steiner body, and is wearing a beautiful royal blue velvet and silk costume, undergarments, stockings, leather shoes.
