Description
10" (25 cm.) Seated in a wire-framed wicker-wrapped carriage with four spoked wheels and lace cover is a bisque head doll with brown glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, slightly-parted lips, tiny porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, wearing antique costume. When pulled along, the doll waves her arms up and down, activated by the hidden mechanism below the carriage. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 939 S 1 H (doll). Comments: maker unknown, circa 1885, with original bisque head by Simon and Halbig. Value Points: charming toy with beautiful rare-to-find bisque doll.
