4" (10 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of lady, brown sculpted hair with a bevy of elaborately arranged looped curls that are ornamented with a single pink rose and gilt edged leaves, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, pierced ears, sculpted bodice with all-around ruffled Dresden collar edged with black and decorated with a row of applied pearl beads. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, early work by C.F. Kling. Value Points: very rare model with exceptional detail of bodice and hair ornaments.
