All felt, jointed head and limbs, blue glass eyes, platinum blonde mohair wig styled with red silk ribbons, wearing a rose and green felt dress with a dark navy felt bodice, white collared shirt with puffed sleeves, floral printed cotton apron, sage green stockings, and light brown leather lace-up shoes, carrying a woven basket with felt flowers. Condition: generally excellent, with some small rubs on the face. Marks: Steiff Kinder, "Sophie," No. 71/500 (original tag), "RJW" (brass button), "Steiff" (button in ear). Comments: R. John Wright, 2007, based on Margarete Steiff's dolls from the early 20thc., distributed by Steiff. Value Points: includes original certificate of authenticity and original box, crisp costume in vibrant colors, includes a Steiff button in the ear.
