6" (15 cm.) Sculpted mixed media miniature, painted eyes, white hair in elaborate hairstyle, wearing a gold gown with various trims and embellishments, black and gold underskirt, black and gold shawl, black and gold hat with large feather accent, black choker necklace, gold painted shoes, carrying a black parasol and a pair of opera glasses. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: "MB, 97, 1871." Comments: Marcia Backstrom, 1997, former International Guild of Miniature Artisans Fellow. Value Points: original sculpted doll, fine costume with elaborate construction, one of a kind.
