18" (46 cm.) Art-plaster sculpted head of adult lady with oval face posed in demure downcast manner, long slender throat and modeled bosom, artistically-painted face with heavy eyes lids, narrow brown painted eyes, dark eye shadow, closed mouth with piquant smile, auburn mohair wig in soft long curls, bisque arms, attached to wire armature base and wearing exquisite period silk. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Maria/Baitz. Comments: Lilly Baitz, circa 1920, from a series of fashionable lady’s sculpted by the artist and produced in her own studios. Value Points: demure expression is most artistically achieved.
