Description
8" (20 cm.) Hard plastic, socket head, straight-leg non-walking body. Wearing pink polka-dotted gown with organdy lace-edged ruffle and drawn ribbon at the hemline, tulle sleeves, matching sunbonnet with sprig of flowers, lace-edged pantalets and ruffled petticoat, socks, black side-snap shoes. The costume is tagged. Excellent condition. Alexander, 1953, the model was inspired by the popular children's series of Madeline books by Ludwig Bemelman, first published in 1939, and the doll has original paper wrist tag.
