Description
20" (51 cm.) Hard plastic socket head, lady body and legs with jointed knees, vinyl arms with elbow jointing. blue/green sleep eyes, lashes, painted lower lashes, red lips. She is wearing an intricately-constructed gold and silver sequined skating ensemble with rhinestone straps, accented with round and pear-shaped rhinestones, with an elaborate bouquet of boa feathers at the back that match the voluminous feathers atop her gold sequined tightly-fitted cap, skates with gold star medallions. Excellent condition. The doll by Alexander,1959, the costume from the couturier workshops of the Ice Capades, designed to represent their presentation of "Cavalcade of Hits" for 1959; extraordinary detail of design and construction in the costume that is possibly one-of-a-kind.
