Description
21" (53 cm.) Vibrant auburn hair gracefully curved around her forehead and drawn back to be captured in an elaborate arrangement of curls enclosed within a rhinestone studded snood at her upper back, distinctive hand-painted facial features, original thick eyelashes, dark eye shadow, painted lower lashes, very full coral lips, jointed at shoulders and hips, wearing tagged silver-blue silk organdy full-length gown with tiny sleevelets, decorated with a sprinkle of rhinestones, corsage of silk flowers at the left shoulder and cascades of flowers on the skirt, double pink taffeta petticoat and panties, silver-blue felt slippers, net stockings, rhinestone teardrop earrings. The doll is near mint, the costume pieces are excellent except some serious fabric wear especially at lower front skirt and bodice front. Alexander, 1951, from the Mystery Portrait Series of that year, exquisite uniquely-painted features, perfect original coiffure with unique color that was used only by Alexander in 1951.
