Bisque shoulderhead with elongated face, very large blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, delicately painted lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined tiny lips, unpierced ears, original blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips and shapely torso. Condition: generally excellent, very sturdy body. Marks: 0. Comments: French, circa 1870. Value Points: notable for its delicate bisque contrasting the brilliant large eyes, its dainty size 0, and sturdy body, the poupee is wearing an original aqua silk two-piece walking suit with matching chapeau, and owns seven additional original gowns, quilted cape, white woven bonnet, and various undergarments, preserved in original wooden lidded box.
