Description
4" (10 cm.) Matched pair of quilted muslin pockets with flap closures are attached to a single waist tie, and to one of the pockets is attached a further muslin reticule which contains a simply constructed folding fan; one of the pockets is holding a series of carton cards with a day of the week lettered on each, and the other pocket holds a folded handkerchief and well-worn copper coin with illegible markings. Mid-1700s.
