Description
25" (64 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed molded face and features, painted complexion and features, shaded blue eyes, white eye dots, thick dark upper eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, closed mouth with row of painted teeth, brunette human hair wig, muslin stitch-jointed body with oil-painted lower arms and legs, bare feet, antique dress, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, small rub on left cheek. Comments: Gertrude Rollinson, inventor and patent holder of the distinctive cloth doll, produced by the Utley company of Holyoke, Massachusetts, circa 1920. Value Points: very few examples of the doll exist today, this doll is in particularly fine original condition and wearing original costume.
