All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted complexion, blonde impasto-sculpted hair in tousled curls, painted facial features, shaded blue eyes with white eye dots, painted upper lashes, blonde one-stroke brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with full lips, oil-painted weighted body, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Martha Chase, the firm's "Hospital Baby" designed for teaching techniques to nursing students, circa 1910. Value Points: beautiful blushed complexion on deeply-modeled features, antique gown, and presented in original Martha Chase box.
