Description
12" (30 cm.) A bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth, row of tiny teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, carton torso, wire upper arms, hinged one-piece composition legs, composition hands; is pulling a two-wheeled wooden cart with velvet floor and driver's seat. She wears an aqua silk and lace dress and bonnet. When wound, the doll briskly walks forward, turning her head, and pulling the cart. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well. Marks: Gbr 165 K Made in Germany. Comments: Roullet et Decamps, circa 1900. Value Points: in pristine unplayed with condition, the mechanical doll has original costume, and original box indicating her original sale by Grand Magasins du Louvre department store in Paris.
