Posed upon a wooden platform is a gentleman doll of all cloth, rounded flat-dimensional face, hand-stitched side seams, applied felt ears, artistically painted complexion and facial features, with gentle mellow expression, blue eyes, closed smiling mouth, painted dimples, padded cloth body with light armature allowing posing. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: maker unknown, circa 1870. Value Points: well-rendered cloth doll with artistically painted features, wearing original gentleman's costume which includes great coat and attached top hat.
