27" (69 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with slightly dimpled edges suggesting a smile, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig on cork pate, cloth body with stitch-jointing, leather arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8. Comments: French, attributed to Barrois, circa 1860. Value Points: especially lovely face with endearing expression, in exquisite original golden silk costume with lavish lace edging.
