Description
5" (13 cm.) All-bisque with swivel head, perfectly oval face, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, tiny closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointing at shoulders and hips, ball-jointing at elbows, bisque bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1882, the mignonette was presented as "poupee a poche" (pocket doll) in reference to its tiny size. Value Points: lovely doll with rare jointed elbows, and wearing original silk dress, hat and ribbon ties at feet.
