Description
5" (13 cm.) The cast bronze busts of laughing and crying young boys are mounted on metal bases which are stamped "James Tufts Boston Mass". The figures were inspired by the mid-1800s illustrations in French children's novels by Comtesse de Segur, and were created as popular character dolls and figures in France, Germany and America since that time in various mediums.
