Description
17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil painted facial features, brown sculpted hair with modeled forelock, sculpted blushed ears, small painted grey/brown eyes with black and brown upper eyeliner, tiny "flat" nose, closed mouth with downcast expression, muslin body with stitched together fingers, separately-stitched thumbs, wearing antique suede lederhosen pants, shirt, boiled-wool jacket, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1910, the premiere model of the firm, made for one year only notable for its smaller nose. Value Points: rare model with endearing poignant expression.
