10" (25 cm.) Carved wooden shoulderhead with bedpost-shaped head, facial carving is limited to the tiny pointed nose, painted complexion and simple facial features, black circle eyes with encircling eyeliner, one-stroke brows, simply painted lip lines with sweetly smiling expression, blush spots, brunette human hair wig stitched to fitted pate cap, simply-made twill torso and arms, wooden lower legs and feet, remnants of original simple costume. Condition: original finish well preserved, costume worn. Comments: English, late 1700s. Value Points: charming simple bazaar doll with very dear expression, original finish.
