Description
14" (36 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and flat-back torso, rounded facial shape, inset blue enamel eyes with light dot lashes, single stroke brows with dot accents, closed mouth with extended lip line, blonde mohair curly wig, one-piece legs jointed at hips, leather arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: England, circa 1820. Value Points: pristine original condition, the doll is wearing original costume of pink organza, with matching pantalets, and contrasting bodice. The doll appears in the book The Heart of the Tree by Rosalie Whyel and Jill Gorman, pages 58-59.
