Solid domed paper mache socket head with painted brown short hair, modeled ears, deeply-defined facial modeling, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, tinted brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full lips, hollow paper mache plump toddler style body with jointing at shoulders and hips, bare feet, cotton chemise. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, maker unknown, mid-1800s. Value Points: very rare to find unusual character with fine exceptional detail of modeling and original painted finish.
