Bisque socket head with brown complexion, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, row of porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy wig, French composition fully-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 11 (head) Le Petit Parisien (body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: lovely flawless complexion with enhanced gleaming patina, original body and body finish. The doll is shown in the book The Rose Unfolds by Rosalie Whyel and Jill Gorman, page 138.
