Description
22" (56 cm.) Art-plaster sculpted head, brunette mohair curly wig captured under a Charlotte cap, painted facial features, brown side-glancing painted eyes in deeply set sockets, closed mouth with very full lips and painted teeth, padded armature body, posable arms, posed on original wooden stand labeled with "Girl of 1790". Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Purchased J.H.Hoffheimer NY 1937 Traphagen School (original cloth label). Comments: Lilli Baitz, circa 1930. Value Points: wearing original colonial style costume with pannier sides, green slippers to matching wrapped shawl, and holding a small doll in her arms. Included is original labeled leather travel case.
